Head Coach Carl Benoit

Current Team

After playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey league, Carl graduated with a Psychology degree while playing for the Stingers at Concordia University. His plan was to work as a counselor in a group home, but Jim Webster, a legendary coach in the West-Island, altered these plans when he offered him a coaching position. Carl eventually co- founded Pro Action Hockey, a Sport-Études program operating out of John Rennie High School, in Pointe-Claire and held the position of Technical Director for Hockey West-Island. Carl enters his 5th year as head coach of the Dawson College Blues hockey team, in the Quebec Collegiate hockey league. In the Blues short history, two players have committed to play NCAA D1 and two others have moved on to study and play for a NCAA D3 school. Carl resides in Pointe-Claire with his wife Tanya and 3 children, Jeremy, Amanda and Sam.
